This looks so much better with a color plan vs random placement. You did a great job.

Wonderful quilt!

That is so pretty. I made a queen size illusion quilt for my daughter two years ago using bring colors, she loved it.

I love this pattern! It looks like something I can use to get rid of a lot of the large scraps I have!

I love the Illusion pattern from MQSC & it is on my bucket list. I do like yours using the full 10" block too, really well. Decisions, decisions! lol Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt!

I don't have to pick the colors, because they came in a layer cake. All I had to do was arrange them the way I wanted.

Such a beautiful quilt you have made. What was the size of the sashing and the shadow, please? Anyone would love this quilt. Lucky couple. BrendaK

The squares definitely do look like they are floating. You did a beautiful job and the quilt has such meaning for your DIL.

Brenda, I wish I could remember what size the sashing is, but I don't have the quilt with me, and I can't remember. I made it wider than the MSQC video because I used the whole 10" squares, not the narrow rectangles the tutorial used. I am thinking I cut them 2" somthat when the top is done, they are 1.5" wide??? What I did was made a sample block out of scraps in order to figure out the different lengths of the pieces. I'm sorry I can't be much more help!
