I didn't get as good a deal as you cost wise but love my 401 for $150.00 and it came with attachments. It's just a great feeling. Congrats on winning the lottery and it's a beautiful piece and attachments.

Last week I purchaced a 15-91 at a shop for $100.00 plus $35 for a stand. Thought that was good since their price to service an old machine is $100.00. Since it was not close to an outlet, like a .....I did not try it in the shop . You guessed it, it didn't work. A wire for the foot control was not connected. Now I need to drive 45 miles to take it back. At least I have a 60 day warenty. Sure hope the person who had your machine took good care of it. Beautiful cabinet.

I am so happy for you! I know you will love, enjoy and use it all with great happiness. It just made me sad for a moment when I thought about the former owner. It must have been her pride and joy. I guess I am projecting as I turned 69 yesterday and my damn kids keep talking about me dying. They say they are just planning ahead but they seem to be a little too excited about it. My sister reminded me that no one wants my ----! My treasured sewing machine and stash will go to someone for $25.00!

Maryellen after I bought it someone pointed out the daughter of the estate, I did ask the daughter to let her mother know that a quilter had bought her machine and that I would take very good care of it. The daughter seemed pleased that it was going to a good home.
