I got a call a couple weeks ago that I was a Great great uncle! My silly brother was so proud of the first boy among the grands! He has 7 grand daughters and now has a great grandson! I made the ducky baby quilt for little Benjamin Robert who lives in Wisconsin. I will not get to see him in person until the snow melts!
I tied the quilt because I backed it with minkee and fleece! It does feel good and will be mailed out in the morning!

The beaks are made from prairie points, and I added extra batting for the wings. I have another one in the works where I made fleece wings and appliqued them to the bodies. I am searching for the magazine where I found the pattern. There is large rickrack for the waves. It is a fun scrappy paper pieced quilt.
