OMG your story sounds almost just like mine. Except I threw mine across the room a couple of times. I screamed at it, I cried over it. Told my DH that this was the quilt from H__L!

I made a king size, never again. Everyone tells me I should sell my quilt, told them that quilt and I will never part, have toooooo much invested-(crying, screaming, and oh yes even some mild cussing at it).

Oh thank you for sharing your lone star experience. I too have been there and would agonize over every little detail. Congratulations on completing that beautiful quilt. Gorgeous colors! Wow!

It's beautiful, and the colors work well together. You did good. Maybe not perfect, but I can't tell from the picture and probably nobody else will but you.

It is sure pretty and looks really good to me. I have only attempted the Lone Star once and it is somewhere in a box now unfinished. It was not laying flat! That was back quite a few years ago and I have learned alot about quilting since I started it so maybe one day soon I need to dig it out (if I can find it) and see if I can salvage it! Loved your story, too. You could also be a writer!!

I love orange too...I made an Old Maids Puzzle after collecting so many oranges-I have a lifetime supply I think. Anyway a Lone Star may be in the works. There I go again thinking of another project and I am trying to finish up UFO's so I can garden and hike in the nice weather if it ever comes.
