When you said orange, I was skeptical! But this is great! Good job!
I think it is awesome and I have always considered orange to be an extremely happy color, congrats on not giving up. You should make another one soon you know practice makes perfect......
I could not see any points that don't match.
It is beautiful and I think you did a great job. |
Candi, it's beautiful...I love orange too!! And I so appreciate your story....it helps me to laugh at myself when I've been strip piecing for several minutes without bobbin thread and all the pieces i thought were sewn are a pile behind my machine!!
It turned out beautiful. Thanks for sharing your story.
I really like it.
Beautiful quilt, beautiful job . I think it looks great, and thank you for sharing.
Very pretty, and it lies flat! I have heard people give them cup sizes when they won't lie flat, just to be funny!!!
You certainly met the challenge. Orange is my least favorite color, but even I admire what you did.
All I can say is , but I love it!!! it's gorgeous!! really!!!
It looks pretty good to me.

((((Done is better than perfect...at least when quilting))) seems u forget to read this. lol I know we always looking for perfect but your star is human star and nothing wrong with it. It's nice colours, flat ,big enough, hard working and good job . so relax |
From here,Texas, the seams look matched to me. Look great.
Gorgeous color!!! I love your quilt. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that sure pops. The darker orange, to my eyes, seems to be 'moving' or going in and out. I like it.
That's really awesome!.... You can't see the unmatched points from five feet away... there for .... It's good :D
Oh, I love it. I am partial to orange.
From the Lone Star State - you did a beautiful job. U of Texas colors as well!
Its pretty!
Beautiful quilt! And your DH is a keeper.
Candi, loved reading your story, and your quilt turned out perfect.
I love this quilt. You did a fantastic job. I haven't made one of these yet. If or when I do, I have learned from your story that if the points don't match it's ok. Thanks for sharing with us.
I love it!
I don't see anything off...it looks perfect to me! Love the orange. I think we are our own worst critics. Most people wouldn't notice slight mismatching. I don't rip out much anymore. If it's less than 1/8", no one will notice but me - especially once it's quilted and washed.
I've made several lone stars, and this looks pretty darn great to me!
Great job!
I love it. You will be the only one that sees the unmatched points. Looks awesome , one day I am hoping to make one in red, blue and white.
Looks wonderful from here!
I am binding the pinky-purple one I just made for a 13 yr old granddaughter. I had the same problems. But it is quilted now and looks great. Yours looks fabulous. Good job.
Wow! Looks beautiful!
Beautiful!
Hi Candy - you are really making me like orange! The quilt is beautiful! Worth all the effort!
I feel your pain, always wanted to do a star quilt so found some triangle points my mom left me after her death, thought I had it down really well until the final seams, had quite a cone, oh well, nothing is perfect, right, your quilt looks beautiful.
I love it!
Candi, thank you so much for sharing your story. I had a horrible triangle experience on my second project, and still haven't recovered. Your perseverence shows - I'm glad you finished it and I can't see anything wrong with it, and it is nice and flat too. You're an inspiration! Quilt it up! :D :D :D
wow I am going to try and do that I bought blue batiks and think I will give one a try. wiah me luck as I never have tried anything this hard
I love orange too. Wonderful challenge, well done.
