I almost aways use bottom line in the bobbin for everything. I hate winding bobbins....disrupts the flow of things. So I will wind up about 12 bobbins with bottom line for power sewing. I love this thread as it lives forever in the bobbin.

That's purse is so cool. Saw that in a Sew News or Threads issue not too long ago. Love yours. Looks like a designer bag. You are so clever. Nice work.

You did great job. Love it.

RuthFru 09-23-2011 10:30 AM

It turned out cute and I love the way the belt handel matched it. Good job.

dphelps 09-23-2011 11:23 AM

Now, I LOVE that. Beautiful. Great job.

Wanabee Quiltin 09-23-2011 12:42 PM

I love it, you did a great job.

KLO 09-23-2011 12:45 PM

What a great idea!!! And the bag is actually gorgeous! The yarn gives it some real character.

mimee4 09-23-2011 12:55 PM

Very pretty job. A whole new avenue for you to go.

Grandma Peg 09-23-2011 01:46 PM

Really like what you did.

carolynjo 09-23-2011 02:26 PM

Love it. Your couching looks good. I need to try this.

susanlh 09-23-2011 03:15 PM

Bernina does make a couching foot for their machines. I use it to do couching of yarns and ribbon. You don't have to worry about keeping the thread under the foot. It is fed into the sewing needle area. Great foot in my opinion.

baglady65 09-23-2011 03:22 PM

Neat bag how big is it can I ask?? I love big bags for more stuff!!

runswithscissors 09-23-2011 03:31 PM

Very cool. It does look like tapestry - even without the horse.

gramquilter2 09-23-2011 04:04 PM

Very creative love the belt you used as the purse strap. I have looked at getting the FM couching foot and now that I have seen yours in action, I know that I want it.

Nettie Phillips 09-23-2011 04:55 PM

Nice bag.

debcavan 09-23-2011 04:55 PM

kristen0112 09-23-2011 09:08 PM

Like the zipper on the handles nice touch.

nursie76 09-23-2011 09:13 PM

I love your use of the baby yarn. Tried this foot out at the Bernina VIP event in Chicago in May, and...you guessed it! I had to have the foot. Your bag is superb!

debbieumphress 09-23-2011 09:14 PM

Unique, I like it. I haven't heard of this either but will look it up now. Thanks for sharing

Quiltlady330 09-23-2011 09:18 PM

Very nice :)

QM 09-23-2011 09:22 PM

Good idea. You might also consider a multistitch zig zag, or use a couching foot, but not if your yarn is nubbly.

Quiltlady330 09-23-2011 09:25 PM

What does the extra lint do to your machine?

blueangel 09-23-2011 09:35 PM

Nice

rvsfan 09-24-2011 06:45 AM

Love it.

Pieceful Quilter 09-24-2011 07:26 AM

I am not sure what you mean by "extra". There is always lint, from fabric, I clean it regularly, but there is not more lint....I use a synthetic fiber thread in the bobbin so if any thing there is less lint...

I have a small stash of variegated crochet thread gleaned from the thrift store [my favorite shopping place]. I think I will experiment with it next....maybe some bobbin work...ah the fun continues...

That is not a zipper, that is a belt and it is how I found it at the thrift shop. All I did is cut it and use rivets to attach it to some d rings.

I started with two 16x16 squares but with squaring up the bottom and top it comes off more as a rectangle. It is a roomy purse, I don't carry a lot of stuff but I do have two zipper bags plus a wallet. I like to keep it organized and I have to do something with all those zipper bags.....
making small zipper bags is kind of like a refresher, using up some small scraps, between larger projects that take longer to make.

I just thot the yarn looked like it had many extra fibers and they might have 'shed' throughout the process.

Kim Bohannon 09-24-2011 01:59 PM

that is very cute!

Nope...it I used a leftover synthetic baby yarn found at most chain stores...

I love it! That looks like fun to do.
