Made this pattern a couple of years ago from plaids and a light background. As KScrafter says, not perfect but looks good from a distance.

Mariah 01-11-2011 07:36 AM

Our Guild had a workshop on this pattern about a year ago. I was doing something else and didn't take it, but everyone who did said it was one of the most fun patterns they had ever made.
You can do a lot with it; depending on how you want the final look. Good luck! Love your colors.
Mariah.

IBQUILTIN 01-11-2011 11:33 AM

I am working on the same quilt, in my daughter's wedding colors. It is so hard to keep from turning those hst's. Good luck with it, and maybe we can encourage one another. I increased the size of the block to 3 inches so it will be a king size quilt. Did you enlarge it, or go with the mini?

This is going to be beautifull......Hi, I lived in Garfiels Hights, Ohio for 35 years before moving to Del...I would move back in a heart beat...Great friends and family still there....i started quilting a little over a year and i love it. i have learned so much from this site.....Someone sent me a video of downtown cleveland and Higbees when i worked there between 57 and 61. It was a beautiful store with 10 floors....

Hi
I worked in Higbee's also. In the 50's but probably 1953-4 in the gift wrapping dept. Went to St. Peter High School. Lived in the Collinwood area for a short time. You brought back some nice memories, thanks. I now live in a part of the Chautauqua Lake area of NY.
Good thoughts
Connie
