I don't know about you, but that skulls looks like an entry into the ugly fabric contest!! Bev, cut it into really really small pieces. . . . .

Sarah,
Isn't it nice we all have different tastes in fabric?? Long ago, Bev mentioned she wanted to collect skull fabric for her son's quilt. I found this and immediately thought of her.

I happen to love it and so do my teenagers. So, don't crucify us yet.

Barb M 07-18-2008 06:03 PM

Awe, that's so sweet, and yes, i remember bev was looking for skull fabric lol, so that is just perfect! And pretty scraps from Ruth. Are you trying to collect scraps for a scrappy quilt bev? It all looks very nice, love seeing fabric photos, especially fabric angel ones :)

sewnsewer2 07-18-2008 06:09 PM

Whoo hoo! You're gonna have a ball with all that fabric! Now put on your thinking cap.

SaraSewing 07-18-2008 08:25 PM

With Halloween just around the corner, you should have plenty of skulls to choose from! Sounds like what sons would like. I have a son now pestering me for a quilt with dice and cards. . .

I had to run out to Walmart yesterday, Would you believe I was ONE girl short to finish quilt top? LOL Oh well now I have a few extras. One I think I'll use for siggy block. I love the skulls too. It was soooooooooo hard not to show them to David. I took it upstairs and hid it in the box with my old sewing machine. (I had to write this HINT just in case I forget where I hid them LOL) I hope they bring out Halloween fabric BEFORE Xmas so I can get more skull fabrics. Skeletons too.....
FINGERS CROSSED.....

I surely didn't mean harm. I didn't mean to insult your taste. I appologize for any misunderstandings. I wouldn't hurt anyone here on purpose for anything!! It's great that you thought of Bev with the skulls. As long as you are happy, I"m happy too! Guess it's like on the ugly fabric link, I really liked a couple of them. It's pretty cool that when fabric gets worked up it's attractive! Peace?

Chele 07-19-2008 06:11 PM

No worries, saravincent! We're all in this fabric mess together! Pastels used to scare me, but I have learned to tolerate them! LOL!

Bev, I know you're having fun with your fabrics! Isn't it wonderful to get "squishies" in the mail? A day without fabric is like a day without sunshine! Everyone go pet your fabric!

Oh punkin, no hard feelings..... It wouldn't be a "family" here if we all had the same taste. I think it would be mighty boring. BIG HUG girl.........

Your so right Chele..... My fav. is to start pairing up fabrics. You'd be suprised what looks good together. The other day I was Playing and picked a couple fabrics I "thought" hrmmmmmm maybe? might go together. Then thought nah. Ukie Poo Poo. BUT when I actually put them together they mated. Ok don't laugh. That's what my Aunt calls it when 2 things go together...... AUNTS..... ROFLMAO......

I joined the forum too late to know what the origianal conversation was about -- are you looking for skull fabric in particular? You might try looking for "Day of the Dead" themed fabrics which can be found in areas close to Mexican borders, or probably on line. I used some for a quilt I made for a good friend who was in Mexico during the celebration and was very impressed by it. If you would pm me your name and address I would be happy to send you some of my scraps.

Isn't it great getting prezzies like that?
I think my grin is humungous when I get a package.
The poor mailman sits in his truck, beeps his horn and then just laughs at me when I get a package. It doesn't even have to be a package for me, just a package for ANYONE in the house will do! lol

And yes....the Quilt Angels are WONDERFUL!!!
