This was so easy and so fun! I have filled mine with cards that I made-for a friend's birthday. I believe I will make these for Christmas gifts! Quick, easy, I can personalize to each recipient, and it forces me to play with my neglected paper supplies! Thanks to the original poster for this tutorial!

Pretty! I have not made any yet but I am thinking they would be perfect to try different FMQ designs out on.

Exactly what I was thinking ... a great FMQing practice piece that has a practical purpose! :)

Terrific box! I may just have to make one of these for myself! Thanks for sharing!

Your box is so pretty. I made my first two Friday to share with 2 sister in laws this weekend. They were well-received and fun to make.

Okay fabric box ladies :) I have a few questions. I made two of these today (they are so addicting!). The first one was a 12" square with one layer of batting; to me, it seems very "floppy". I would prefer it to be more "stiff" when completed. The second one I made was an 8" square with two layers of batting - that one came out exactly as I wanted.

So, what did I do wrong on the first one? Are the larger boxes usually more floppy, or did I just use a too-thin piece of batting? Or maybe, I didn't quilt that one quite enough? I used the square pattern that everyone else is doing, but on the second (smaller) box naturally the quilting seems a little bit closer together.

Any hints or tips would be so very appreciated!

Love the fabrics you used. Aren't these little charmers addictive!

I just finished one for a BD gift and made it to dress up a jar of Bubbies Saurkraut which is a great treat for kraut lovers. Just shows you can put anything in them!:D
peace

I've been searching this site and can't seem to find the original post that might include the pattern.
