Fabric Postcards for Christmas
4 Attachment(s)
Kind of late to be posting these but might give ideas what to work on for Christmas 2013.
I enjoy making fabric postcards, sometimes I add non-fabric items like words torn from old greeting cards. Sorry the pix are so large, don't know how to make them smaller... just several of the over 20 that I made for family and friends. |
Nice!!

You're very creative! What a nice way to remember friends and family. My pictures come out large, too...I take them on an iPad. But it's okay, that way we can see the details! Nice, nice, nice!
These are very cool, so glad you posted them!
Those are just awesome. Wow how do you do that, really were you an art major in school? You are talented.
They are lovely.

I commend your talent and patience. They are all beautiful.
Wow. Thanks for posting. I love all of them. Very creative.
No need to apoligize for the large size photos. I love seeing all the details clearly. Many posts are too small to see any detail.

Here is a quick one that I sent for my youngest granddaughter who was born 12-11-12 ... The images are a technique called Tape Transfer, they were cut from a catalog. |
Your fabric postcards are gorgeous. You don't mail them out too, do you?

Oh yes, all of them get mailed ... If they are nice and flat they are mailed 'naked' first class mail. If they have embellishments like yarns, buttons, anything that won't allow them to go thru the PO machinery they are mailed in a see-thru cello envelope, to be hand cancelled ... first class plus .20 ... Some people think that is expensive to send a fabric postcard, but my feeling is: I get joy from making these, it is my creative hobby (cheaper than playing golf, skiing etc) and if I mailed traditional greeting cards purchased at Hallmark, now THAT would be expensive, LOL...the card not the postage. |
Thank you for showing them, i love doing postcards.
Wow - that is all I can say.
wow-you did a superb job on them
Thank you for showing your cards. They are lovely and a wonderful idea.

Very pretty and quite creative!
I, too, have been meaning to do this but never get around to it. Really like these and would love to see all you made.
Very Nice! I am planning on donating a set of postcards for our school auction. After seeing this I'm thinking I might donate a second set of just Christmas postcards.
Beautiful cards. I have never thought of just putting the words on the card. I always copy them on fabric and then add them to the cards. Great ideas.
Very nice! Lots of work but it would be fantastic to get one of those instead of a regular card!
Very pretty cards. You make nice cards. I love them.
Love you post cards............. put me on your card list for 2013.
