You have no idea how you've just saved my quilt project. I bought a bird panel which when sewn together shows the birs in a tree. You'd think it would be easy to surround that panel with blocks and make a nice medallion quilt...oh no! think again! Those panels are devious and end up requiring rectangular blocks or all kinds of fidgets and fits...just not good for a quilt to made in time for Christmas.. I took one look at this and had my solution. I'm going to make this quilt and then applique the bloody panel right in the middle...voila..pattern purchased and quilt will be finished! Many thanks!!

Nice job! I've used this pattern as well and it's pretty quick and is great to use on fabric you don't want to cut. Here is the post of the one I did:

Oh, I really like your quilt. Good point too that it works for a specific interest focus fabric. Beautiful!
