Fake double wedding ring wedding gift

In spring I saw the tutorial on board a young lady posted called "faking the double wedding ring". Well, I thought it would be perfect for a wedding gift whom we have watched grown up & his dad is my DH's best friend. It looked easy but it was much more time consuming than I realized. Finally finished & the dad is taking it to Australia next week (the couple are there for 2 years).
I'm happy with how it came out & will make another one someday. The fabric is a jelly roll by Moda called Spirit. If I can find it I'm going to buy another one. I just love the colors.

I really like your quilt! Did you do the quilting yourself? and if so.... on a domestic machine or a long arm? It really suits the quilt, great job!

AT least yours is finished!! I"m doing one with triangles on the ends. so four triangles will meet-hopefully.

Yes, I did quilt it myself & on my Janome 9000. It's more difficult but I love to FMQ & I would just put on music & have fun. The quilt police would be hard on it but the kids that are getting it won't notice the mistakes.

Oh, and I used the tutorial posted here on the board by "slightly off quilter". Great instructions & I plan to make this again & just tweek it to help me with my foibles
