You made a gorgeous quilt with the colors she chose and I like your leaves quilted in the border. Carol

Really pretty!

Really nice! So sweet of you to do this for her too... I HAVE to have instructions, or I'm lost.

That is so nice I have so much to learn.

Some of her original fabric choices had to be changed…. She had a brown polka dot for the inside border, which did nothing for the quilt. She didn’t have enough of some fabrics and too much of another. I had to go into my stash and “match” some of the missing fabrics…All in all I think it came out great.

I hope your friend gets to take a class eventually. Did you consider teaching her yourself?

I didn't see an error, looks great to me

Sorry, I didn't mean the OP's quilt, I meant the example. The picket fence unit on the lower right of the block is parallel, not mirror image. It jumped out at me because of where it is. I think the OP's quilt is great!

Funny that you ask that question…. She bought a new sewing machine about a year and a half ago. She didn’t touch it for a year. She asked me to go to her house to show her how to use her new “fancy” machine. I spent about three hours over there showing her basic sewing machine and quilting techniques. Told her I would help her with anything. She couldn’t wait to start…. About a month ago she came to me with this project. I told her I would teach her how, but she said it’s too hard and she didn’t have the time… Sigh… AND she is an AWESOME Artist! If she started quilting she would make outrageous quilts!
