I had fun just playing on this wallhanging. Everything is from stash except the felt and varigated thread.

Some good practice on 1/4" seams, FMQ, embroidery stitches, (wavy!) borders. And blocking it helped a ton :-)

Center was a coloring page, leaves I traced onto card stock in my yard. Leaf season is what we hate about living in the woods :-)

I love it. I hate leaves too. We have 2 huge maples in our yard and 2 large english walnuts. I usually rake until they freeze on.

I'm getting fall fever. Love your quilt. I need to get busy and do one:) Maybe it will chase the HEAT away. 100 again today:(

7 walnuts, 2 hickory, multiple wild cherry and paw paw along with a couple maples, a few dogwoods and half dozen giant tulip poplars IN my yard. Then we have dense woods at the rear of our acre.

The people who built the house took out around 20 trees before building. In 7 years here we have taken out about 20 more. I have planted an evergreen tree fence with one neighbor though.

We have a new, more powerful lawn tractor this year so hopefully a mulch kit will take care of us.
