This is for my friend who had a terrible mower accident last month and lost all her toes on her left foot. The blocks came from quilty friends on another forum and I sewed them together for her.

The toes had to be removed the foot was too badly damaged to save them.

Sometimes horrible life events have very positive outcomes - changes people's perspective on things...My brother lost some fingers in an accident, and I know it did for him. Made him more appreciative of what he has, not what he doesn't have!

Your quilt should cheer her up! What a horrible accident she suffered, but sounds like she has wonderful friends!
