I hope I remember to post on this thread again when I get back to CT (we fly there on Sat.), because I have quilts from both of my grandmothers and DH's maternal grandmother. My maternal grandmother made hers from men's pants & shirts and used sheep's wool for filler - they raised sheep on their farm in SD. DH's gm's is a scrap quilt from 20s and 30s dress scraps. I think my other gm's is from 40s fabrics. I love them all!
