Beautiful quilt - I would quilt it like Cyn (#2) suggested.

First, Congratulate yourself on a job well done, your quilt is beautiful. I think I might do stitch in the ditch, especially around the flowers, with maybe some cross-hatching. I find, for myself, I'm better at SID, however, I have yet to venture out to FMQ, but I'll jump off that bridge sometime this year. But keep the quilt where you can see it, and the quilting pattern will come to you, at least that's what I do. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

Great colors with lots of room for special quilting. I'm picturing big swaths of feathers and/or repeats of the flowers. Have fun! And please show us the finished quilt!

Beautiful colors and wonderful design!

It is lovely. You are much braver than I am. I'm still using templates that make the shapes for me and sometimes don't always match. You did a great job.

This is really pretty, a piece of art! I think simple stitching is a great suggestion. It looks so pretty already without distracting threads.

That is a gorgeous quilt. I was thinking about the quilting and I think echo quilting (around the petals and on the inside of the braids and rectangles) would be nice, or all over fairly large stippling? Not sure if the lovely spirals need to be sewn over? It looks so lovely as it is. Thank you for sharing. :)

Lovely quilt. You did a great job.

A1penny 03-29-2013 02:55 AM

Great job! Be careful with the quilting. Do all your straight lines, then practice until you are REALLY comfortable on some small squares before you touch your lovely quilt.
