I'm at the beginning of a Farmer's Wife Sampler CLub at my LQS. We'll meet once a month and have met once so far. The blocks aren't going to be done in any order - you decide what to do, how many, etc. Just finished the 2nd set of 6. Some will probably end up as do-overs. Unfortunately some of these ARE do-overs already!

At the first meeting we were able to purchase 6 fat quarters for $10 that were supposed to be approprate colors, styles, etc for this quilt. I've gotten all of these from those 6 fqs. I just have to hope that the next set I get complements this one.....

First 6 I finished

Here's the next group I worked on.

Looks good...makes me want to try one :)

You've got some nice combos going there. You should add them to the FWS threads so everyone can see them along with the others.

It feels like that FW group was a GROUP - started together - shared every week for about a year. I'm not doing mine in order - they did. So whenever I get 6 done I thought I'd do a group shot.

Just use the block # and post it to the thread for that block #. The other thread tonight, the original group have made it very clear that it is not a closed group ... and welcome one and all to continue or start and join on the threads!

I'm still debating the 6" blocks...the new book "Farmers Wife Pony club" which I think are 8" blocks if I read right. not out yet but 8" might be more my style LOL

Our Farmer's Wife Sampler Club meets for the second time this Saturday. The Facebook page for our LQS reminds us of that and says to be sure and bring your block to the meeting. Hmmmm. Perhaps I deserve my "over-achiever" label? I have 22 blocks made. They're addictive!

I'm not using just my original 6 fat quarters anymore. I've added a fat quarter at each of the shops I've been to for our Quilts Across Texas shop hop.

I'm thinking the pink one is a fashion mistake. Maybe I can hide it in there somewhere once all the blocks are done?

Since I'm doing them out of order I have them tagged.
