I made this quilt with my new creative grid ruler, the ruler I have makes a 12 inch or a 6 inch log cabin block, this is a 6 inch block.. I have made the log cabin block before without the ruler and always had a little trouble getting the blocks to come out all the same size. With this ruler they all came out ,so I went ahead and bought it and very happy that I did..
It was lots of fun to make and really fast...Thanks for looking..
Lovely quilt, and I'm so glad you gave the information about the ruler you used to make it. After looking at this and reading what you posted, I watched Jean Ann Wright on Utube, then ordered the ruler. I had ordered the rulers for Marti Michell's log cabin, cut fabric, then got very frustrated with all those little pieces that when sewn together, came out too small. That log cabin quilt began about 6 or more years ago, and is still bogged down. Some day, I may turn that one into a potholder or a coaster, my scant 1/4" seams are a bit better now.

That is stunning! Who says pink and red don't go together.

So beautiful, and the quilting really accentuates it.
