Ok....can I just say that you are an inspiration...Talk about quilt in a day from start to finish!!! Your SIL is in my prayers and may she feel the love that went in to making this beautiful quilt.

Your quilt is beautiful, and YOU are a beautiful person. God always knows where to use us and our talents! I will add all of your family to my prayers.

Fanastic thread - when I come to them late like this I don't usually read through them all but I did this one. I could feel the excitment rising as the quilt progressed and the loving and encouraging messages were fantastic. It's amazing what we can do when Love is the motivating factor - a wonderful testimony of God's love being shown in practical ways. Keep praying and God will answer.

I did the same as Quiltyjax - came in just now and read every post on this. The quilt is beautiful and you are an inspiration!!! Thoughts and prayers to you and your DH and your SIL and all the family. If I were in Gaylene's position, I would love an iPod or music player to be able to listen to music and books - certain music can be soooo cathartic. And cards, as someone else mentioned - I would be more than willing to make a quilted fabric postcard to send to her.

What a kind and loving thing to do for your SIL. Your husband is a lucky fellow too, to have his wife down tools and "make his request so." The quilt is amazing and will always be a reminder of your love. Blessings to you all.
