I'm finally starting on the Southern Gentleman BOM at Fat Cat Patterns. It took several hours to trace, cut out and fuse the pieces and the hard part isn't even started yet! I don't have quite the right color of thread for the machine applique but I believe that there are matches to this fabric in a thread set I just ordered at Connecting Threads.

There are already 6 blocks published for this BOM but I have 6 months to get caught up. ;-)

Connecting Threads has their thread sets 30% off. I already have 3 of the sets and I ordered the 15 thread Dusty set. Pretty good deal for $20.90. I should have just orderd the Tropical and Floral sets too at that price.

I love that one Pam! I think that the shapes are the exact same shape as a pattern out of one of my quilting design books by Helen...someone. I've used that design myself for quilting! I can't wait to see how you progress....it is really great looking!
