Fat Quarter Bag
2 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt bag using yardage not fat quarters. I liked this fabric so used it for the lining too. The quilt bag is very big. In the picture I have a queen size quilt in it. The pattern for the bag is here: https://www.shopmartingale.com/image...uarter-bag.pdf
You can see how it looks using fat quarters. It was hard understanding how to get the elastic in the casing but a nice poster said put both hands in the opening. That worked much better for me. The fabric is the color of the photo on the right, dark brown and white. |

sew cute you did a great job!

Great job.

I timed the making of the bag because I'm going to do a program at guild for it. From cutting to finishing it took me 2 1/2" hours. The first bag took me about 5 hours because I kept having to rip out the casings to find my elastic end. I'm not good at reading how to do something, I need to see it. Both my DDs have requested a bag for themselves to tote their swimming stuff this summer.

Bella, about 3 years ago I took a class to make this bag, it was a 3 hr. class and we did complete our bags. We did have all the pieces ready to go when we arrive. It was a fun bag. Nice big bag :)

Wonderful job! I made one of those years ago, it's great for putting all the pieces of big projects into. Only grandkids toys like to use it too.

Bella ~ would this bag work for a casserole carrier? I'm thinking like 9x13 cake pan size? Would you be able to get the pan in and out easily? Then also be able to use it for other things.

both are lovely. Am partial to the yellow...not too bright...just right

I tried to go to this site and it wasn't valid. Could someone help with the correct site. I am very interested in the bag.
I would also like a pattern for a fanny pack. Thanks |
