Oh looks great. love your fabric. I may make one soon. as it is I've made some grocery sacks from prequilted fabrics and the sackers just leave my bags and grab plastic, thinking my bag is my purse. not! i have to watch them and let them know they are for my groceries. Maybe with this type bag, they would do better.

That's a beautiful bag!

I've done a couple of Adkinsons' design patterns and really enjoyed them. Fairly easy to follow, even with a rather complicated design. This bag's really nice.

Thanks for the nice comments. I didn't use any interfacing. Since I used a home dec fabric, it was sturdy enough, but if I had used regular quilting cotton, I may have interfaced or lined it. Terry Atkinson suggests cutting some cardboard or foam core board for the bottom, but I had some thin plastic dividers from some square plastic Art Bin containers that I cut to size.

I had a small piece of decorator fab that someone gave me, so I decided to try this pattern. I did not use interfacing for mine either. Used a good sturdy piece of cardboard for the bottom. (One that came in a package of scrapbooking paper.) After using the bag for about a month, I have decided it is a GREAT size for groceries. Now I need to find more dec. fab. at a good price to use to make some more. Thrift stores...here I come! :)

Glad to hear the good review. It makes me feel more comfortable gifting it. I will have to make some for myself now!
