Father's Day
2 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt for my father. I love how it came out. I took it back from him to wash it. Did a gentle wash and when I took it to put into the dryer, I saw a hole on the back. My stomach sank. I don't know if my daughter or I cut it, or it was just cheap Joann fabric...but all I know is I have a hole. :(:(

Great quilt and hand sew a label over the hole or a heart.
nicely done
Great gift! I agree with Tartan's plan!
very nice!!!!!
Excellent quilt! Love that is has pictures in it. Frustrating about the hole. Sure hope you can find a good fix.

That's a beautiful quilt for your Father. I like Tartan's idea. I would applique a heart over the hole & if one heart on the back seems odd to you, try several scattered around in random places on the back. That would be an easy fix.

beautiful quilt. i was going to suggest to do what tartan said
That's what I did, (lablel) but I think it looks silly. Truth be told he has it on his bed and isn't looking at the back, so it's done with.
It's too late now to cry about it. I just wanted to be honest that not everything happens smoothly! |
I am sure that your father still loves it. Kool quilt. BrendaK

Neat quilt for your father! :)
He loves it, holes mistakes and all! That's a dad.
Choosing not to try the applique heart/hearts I would be afraid it would ravel more.
Very nice Dad quilt. |
What a nice quilt for your dad. It looks like nice memories too.
Tartan always comes up with great ideas.
