Feather bed quilt finished!
 

I'm very proud of myself... I finished this quilt on Friday. It's the Christmas gift a godmother is giving to her little 2 years old niece who will get a "big girl" bed. It was my second custom order and I was a bit nervous about the result, being the biggest one I have never made. Also, I pick all by myself the 30 differents fabric I used for making the feather string. My customer loves it and me too... I'll have to make one for myself :-) This pattern (Feather bed by Anna Maria Horner) is perfect for emptying scraps bins. I made the pebble quilting with my beloved HQ 16. Thanks for looking!

Great quilt. The design is so interesting and the feathers pretty. Your quilting is wonderful for this project. I have to tell you, calling it a feather bed quilt threw me off from what I expected- a duvet type quilt to mimic antique feather bed covers.

pretty neat -- they remind me of neckties -- thin at one end & thick at the other -- hmmm, couldn't you use neckties & put a thin piece of black fabric down the center??? -- that would be different....
