Wow!! Beautiful quilts!!! What a treat!!
Love your fabrics, dont think I have ever seen or heard of the Purple Thang! |
Thanks for the quilt show. I loved them all. There was a lot of work and talent there.
Your purchases were fun! I have lots of indigos from S Africa. Are yours really stiff? Mine were until I washed them, now they are so yummy feeling. Did they give you washing instructions for them? They bleed like crazy!! I have never purchased a Purple Thang but I have friends that swear by them. You should enjoy it. |

I shall keep that in mind & yes it's extremely stiff they had a sample of the fabric which they had pre washed several times as you said it feels so fine & silky soft. :D |
XYZ - Yippee!
Another Purple Thang owner, it was as cheap as chips only £3.00 ($6). I have seen it being used on a tutorial somewhere on the net & when I spotted it I knew I just had to have one. Can never have enough of these handy little gadgets. I was hoping to find a wooden Paper Piecing Seam Presser, the one's I did see were plastic which seemed to be too pliable. Not to worry I'll adventually find one no doubt. Glad you enjoyed the show :D |
Thanks so much for the show! I look at some of those quilts and think "am I ever going to be that creative?". Unbelievable, they're gorgeous.

Thanks for the show Tisha!!! and I can't believe you got to see the grand winning quilt from the Paduca Quilt Show!! I would have loved to see that beauty up close. And I loved the idea of the grandmother's garden in blues and blacks. I would have never thought of those colors but boy oh boy it was divine! Great haul for you too! Please post more from the next show!!

Love your pics Tisha, you took so many more than I did when I was there, I think I was too busy being blown away by all the gorgeous pieces of work.
One of the most stunning ones for me was the black and white one, as mentioned in the previous post by adyldrop; http://www.flickr.com/photos/maryeli...7606767187969/ I also found this news story about it: http://www.wpsdlocal6.com/mostpopula...4-8d14ea4b5b7c Glad you enjoyed yourself! |
