All of them are very nice. I like the names appliqued on the quilts, too! :D :D

tlrnhi 08-24-2009 01:20 PM

Those are really pretty!!

Lacelady 08-24-2009 01:44 PM

They are all lovely and I am intrigued as to how you managed to post nine pics in the same posting, I have only ever managed three, and I thought that was the limit.

NorBanaquilts 08-24-2009 02:26 PM

They are all beautiful, love how you put their names

sharon b 08-24-2009 02:33 PM

Great job!

Mousie 08-24-2009 05:57 PM

lots of yummies. Question: you are a new mom, and can find time to do all this? (sounds of applause

amma 08-24-2009 05:59 PM

Wow!!! They all look great!!! Love the personalization :D :D :D

barnbum 08-24-2009 06:07 PM

I love how you put their names on their quilts... did you cut the letters out?

Lacelady--just put your photos on photobucket, or another internet photo place--and copy the address between bracketed imgs... and you're good. If you get close... I'll need to add a few more details... PM me.

deedum 08-24-2009 06:33 PM

Again, I stand in awe! Love the pinwheels but they are all great! Just beautiful!

justwannaquilt 08-24-2009 07:25 PM

Thank you ladies!!!!

Lacelady, like barnbum said I use photo bucket, I have never mananged to figure out how to attach files to a forum such as this (I know pathetic right) and it is easier and less time to upload them to photobucket ONCE and then just copy and paste the link instead of having to wait each time I want to post a picture. It also saves the forums bandwidth also! and me from having to crop the picture before uploading it!

Quiltncrazy, I am a mom to a new baby, but I also have a five year old and a two year old. lol I never sleep! my husband works midshift (4-midnight) and I sew pretty much from the time the kids go to bed until he gets home! I also sew during nap time while my daughter and husband are in school!

Barnbum, What I did was traced the letters on "wonder under" (any THIN fusible web would work), ironed the web to the back of the fabric, cut the letters out, ironed them onto the front of the quilt and then just kinda traced around them with my free motion foot. Like a raw edge applique deal! lol On Liam's quilt I quilted OVER the letters, on Jordan's I added the name after quilting!

Thank you again for all your kind words!

WOW!! I love your quilts!! But I MUST HAVE one like Liam's!! Those circles are the coolest ever. (And I want one for myself, not for my kids. LOL!)

I have a 3 and 5 year old, and cannot imagine how you get all this done, and especially with a newborn in the mix! You must take vitamins!

Jim's Gem 08-24-2009 10:10 PM

You have some beautiful work. With little kids you sure get a lot done. When mine were little ( I have 4) they used to go to bed early 7:30 ish and my husband was active duty Navy, he was gone a lot. I used to do a lot of cross stitch after I put them to bed. I don't watch tv and with DH being gone, what else is there to do!!!

Bevanger 08-25-2009 05:56 AM

I love them. The animals look like the one I'm starting. GREAT JOB!

Iluv2quilt 08-25-2009 06:04 AM

Really pretty quilts! I love the names on the quilts, nice touch!

Ducky 08-25-2009 06:15 AM

All your quilts are wonderful. You do such nice work! Where did you get the panel of animals? That's just so cute!

wvdek 08-25-2009 07:46 AM

You do wonderful work and with an already full"mommy" load.

Good job.

Kyiav10 08-25-2009 08:01 AM

WOW! They are all beautiful. Love the circles!

Quilt4u 08-25-2009 08:17 AM

They are so cute.

Lacelady 08-25-2009 08:38 AM

Hmmm, thanks for helpful suggestions on posting a batch of pics at the same time, but I have a feeling I am too computor challenged. I will stick to doing three at a time I think. I still love the quilts too, and admire your energy.

justwannaquilt 08-25-2009 11:33 AM

Thank you again for all the kind words!

Jim's Gem, My husband was active duty Army when I picked up the quilting bug! I too don't really watch tv and the show that I do like is nor appropriate to be watching while the kids are around so I DVR it and watch it on the one night a week I just don't have the passion to sew something (sometimes I have to force myself to sit and watch it to clear up the space. lol) so I know all about getting stuff done while the house is quiet and you start feelin "alone".

Ducky, my <not so> local Joann's was selling everything in the store so they could move into a larger building and become a Joann's superstore. I bought two of these then, I have recently seen them at the new store and they have giraffe print fabric that matches the sides that one could use for the back! They carry the whole line of this fabric! The salvage on the second panel that I still have not started on says "Jungle Babies by Patty Reed Designs 2008 for Fabric Traditions, N.T.T. Inc. I just looked and they have it on their website if you are looking for one and can't find it in your local store. It is called "Jungle Babies Panel" and the SKU# CIF J 1151000.

Again thank you everyone for your kind words!

swimer girl 08-31-2009 08:55 AM

Very nice work....I don't know how you get so much done ....I must be really slow...took me 3 days to do a mini quilt that Liz Porter (of Fons and Porter fame) said you could do in an evening.

I loved the names....you really did a nice job.....swimmer girl

jamsbuying 08-31-2009 08:59 AM

Very nice job! You are a busy lady!

sewjoyce 08-31-2009 01:46 PM

Love all your quilts!! I just don't see how you get so much done with little ones around -- I admire your strength :D
