Finally Did It--My "New" Featherweight

1 Attachment(s)
I've been looking for a Featherweight for about two years. I finally got one from ebay a couple of weeks ago. She sat without use for a long time, but after oiling and blowing out some gunk, she is working great. It also came with the original case, manual, box of attachments, and a buttonholer.

I love my machine like this. I get the most accurate blocks from this little machine. Have lots of fun with it.

Wow it looks to be in great shape. Have fun with it, I know that I enjoy the 3 FW's that I have.

She's a beaut! Welcome to the club. I don't use anything else for my quilts. Mine may not be as beautiful of face (constantly used since 1936) - but it does what I want it to do! You even got the little red felt circle for the thread! Have fun with her!

She is a beauty, you will love her and they really do a nice job from thin to heavy fabrics. Used mine to make my professional tote and didn't have a problem going over the heavy seams. I can tell you it was worth your wait. Have fun with her.

Very pretty machine. Enjoy.

She is a beauty! I have one from 1948, used it in class for the first time Saturday. I found that the short shank 1/4" quilting foot will fit wonderfully on the FW to stitch perfect seams.

Congrats...looks like a beauty!

fleurdelisquilts.com 07-31-2012 12:36 PM

Oh, what a cutie! Have you picked out a name for her? It's like naming a baby, except you are the only one who gets input!
