Finally a Finish
1 Attachment(s)
This project jumped right in front of all the others in line. How does that happen?
This project should be called "rip it good" as almost every step involved ripping. How does that happen? I converted a pattern to use the accuquilt dies and still managed to miss a straight seam line. Ripped out the bad seams and started again. I used a circle design from the emb machine to quilt the inside square first. It just wasn't the one so that was ripped out. How does that happen? I quilted it ITH on the embroidery machine and wanted to use the border feature. I didn't like the design after it started, so ripped that out and made another stippling block instead. The first attempts at the corner-stones were wrong. Another rip! Lucky for me, the binding went one just fine. |

Backing and binding for the table topper.

Perfect! Backing was made for the table topper.
Well, it's pretty, even though you had problems with it...it sure turned out nice!
Very cute!
Wonderful finish.

Funny, it doesn't look like Swiss cheese! Just kidding! Good for you to persevere and finish up this project. Looks really good. 👍

I love your quilt!!!! Perfect colors. And also that you quilted it ITH. I’ve purchased lots of designs for quilting with my embroidery machines, just have never gotten up the nerve to try them. I am also an Accuquilt user and lover, it’s a wonderful machine - I have all three except the studio. I saved a picture for myself, Hope that is,OK with you.

Rip happens.... But It looks great! Good job on hanging in there to get it finished the way you wanted.
Love this table topper!
That sounds like a lot of frustrations, but the finish is wonderful!
Pretty. You did persevere!
For all that ripping, it sure turned out pretty. Nice job!
Why is that that some projects are like that?! I finished a project recently with similar ripping and it can be so frustrating as most were simple mistakes on my part. I should know better. Ugh. Glad we both persevered to get a great finished project.

That’s a beautiful table topper! Well done!
My least favorite thing is frog stitching! There are some quilts that just do that. Your table topper looks nice. You would never know that you struggled with it. Great Job.
Very nice table topper. Love your fabrics and the binding is so pretty with it. Love your backing fabric too-I think I have some of that fabric.
a quilt worth every stitch and rip, ah memories! great job!
Worth all the trouble! It looks beautiful, and good for you for making something you'll be happy with, instead of aggravated every time you look at it. Enjoy!
Rhonda, it's beautiful! I don't know what ITH means?

This table topper is really lovely. Aren't you glad you finished it?
Some quilts that were on the back burner just suddenly start to boil over and you have to finish them right away. I don't know why it happens either. It happened with my avatar quilt. That quilt sat in my closet for 3 years and then I finished it in about 3 weeks. Watson |
Love it!! Sometimes, the ones that give you the most trouble are the ones that you are happiest with when they are done.
