You are very talented! I recently did a Southwestern applique quilt and it was on my frame for 4 weeks, so I can identify. Makes those pantographs seem like child's play! I have been a professional longarm quilter for 2 years and I can say...you have extreme talent! Everything is perfect, just enough quilting and the stipling, now that is a time consumer! You have every right to be so proud of your work. Congratulations! Michelle

This is the quilt that my G-grandma, grandma and mom made for mother's hope chest. It is entirley hand made, no machine work any place. This quilt has been in use almost constantly, washed by machine and hung out to dry. All the pieces are in good condition, but getting thin. The backing is yellowed with age, witih one very small tear. All the pieces are 1 inch big. I guess this is the way they passed the long nights at the farm.
entirely hand stitched by my G-grandma, grandma and mother. The quilt is at least 90 years old. handstitched completly, and in use for years, no sign of wear! Another view |
