Hi all:
I know how much we all love pictures so I figured I would post these for you all to see. I made each one of my grandson's a quilt for Christmas last year. They are 4, 7 and 10 years old. They all loved their quilts and the best was when each one said thank you and told me what they each liked best about their quilt. It was so much fun to listen to them. I am going to visit in July, God willing, and I am bringing each of them a specially designed, by Mammie (that is what they call me) pillow sham to match their quilts. So here they are, starting with the youngest's.

Awesome!!! They are going to love their pillows!!! I bet you get hugs and smooches when they see these :D :D :D Every night at bedtime, it will be like they are giving you a hug when they snuggle up in their quilts and hug their pillows :D :D :D

Gee thank you to everyone for your nice comments. Yes girls, I like the bugs too. I love all the colors.
When I mailed their quilts to them I sprayed the paper I wrapped them with in my perfume and my wonderful daughter-in-law said they were so cute when they opened them. They all said, wow they smell like Mammie. I know they are going to love these and I promised to buy them each a new pillow when I come to see them. I can not wait to see them all. I miss them so much.

I like the idea of using your perfume!!! I bet they all had big smiles on their faces, too :D :D :D You are quite a distance from them, do you get to visit with them very often?

Boy are they gonna love them....:-)...I can see smiles all the way to Ohio.....:-)

Thank you all for your kind words. My grandsons have learned to appreciate the simple things in life so I know they will love these. James, my older one, wants to know if he can sleep on his already. I am blessed.

thank you too. Yes my DDIL told me that when they opened the box they said, "Hey I smell Mammie." I am blessed that she always tells me the everyday things they say and do so I do not feel like I miss too much (even though I know I do). Yes I am far away, too far. I would like to go more often but am fortunate to be able to go once a year and I usually stay for about a month.
Forgive me if I missed anyone but I want to say thanks for taking the time to write such encouraging things. You all are wonderful people and I appreciate your comments.

What a wonderful job - the shams and really cute!

They are great, Penny! The Disco Dinosaur made me laugh -- Both of my sons have that kind of sense of humor and they would have loved something like that when they were younger!

Thanks, I made each applique myself from my own design. It was my first try and it was so much fun.

Yes my grandson James is the one who I made the dinosaur quilt for. I did not want to do anything too babyish since he is going to be 11 years old this September. I know he will see the humor in it and love it.

Penny, you are too much. Those shams are great. I would have a hard time deciding on my favorite. That disco dinosaur cracks me up. And that perfume idea is terrific. I know you can't wait to see those kiddies. :lol:

Thank you so much. I sent my DDIL the pictures and she showed the boys. She was dying to see the pillow shams. I left it up to her whether to make it a surprise or not. She said they were amazing and the boys loved them.
