I finally finshed the placemats. I made 6 of each month and made them reversable. I thought I would never get them done. They are for Christmas gifts this year. Do I get a prize for starting my shopping this year?
I have to say that my free motion quilting sure did improve.

I started getting bored about April 1, but I stuck with it. I am so glad that they are done. One set of 2 each are going to my mother for Christmas, but I don't know what I will do with the rest. I figure that if I had to make 2, I might as well make 6 each.

Congrats Mary, glad you got them finished! I only made the shamrock one and found the pattern very fiddly.

Well, Thimble, it may have been fiddly but I really love it and think of you each time I use it - what a friend :) .

I have started making a few pressies to put in with the main presents.... have made a couple of half towels which are gathered on to a nice shaped top which has been stitched in around the edges... you put part of the top over a towel rail and push the two pieces of velcro together.... have quite a few more to do.... have the towels and materials but lacking in time at the moment. Thought I would be early for a change !!!

I am willing to take the extras off your hands, you don't have to beg...I'll do the begging!

Love them, you did a great job and can't imagine anytime in my life getting Christmas projects done this early!

I love this idea !! Did you make up your own patterns, or did you get the patterns from somewhere................as in.................can I get the patterns for myself :?: :?:   ;-)

Queen 05-22-2008 08:38 AM

I collected them from www.animas.com. It took me a year because she only puts up two months at a time. If you want, send me your email address and I can send all 12 months.
