Denise That quilt is beautful. I have to ask where you got the back with the Gator material. A friends son is going to be a senior and I think that I would like to get some and make a quilt for his graduation. I guess I was so excited to see the Gator material I did not read far enought to see that is was fleece. Is that a special order?

Thank you

Sandy

I could tell you weren't in Florida anymore, you have real grass in your yard and not the yucky stuff we have in Florida. Your husband looks very happy with his quilt, it's nice when a quilt tells a story.

Well, it is finally finished. I sent it to Screwystewy for quilting.

I did the binding on it for the past couple of days and gave it to hubby today. He was speechless. He could not believe I did this for him. :)

Attached are a couple of quick snaps of him in the yard with it after the boys gave it to him.

Thanks again for all of the help and support. I would like to also thank Bobbie AKA texas granny for the Navy fabric.

Love the back. Is that a photo that you enlarged and printed?

LOL... I would be happy to give up my real grass, for some white Florida sand, Honeymoon Island or Clearwater Beach in particular.

Heck, I would give up my grass to not see 6+ inches of ice across the yard from January-March.

I was busy, but I need to give credit where credit is due. I sent it to Screwystewy for the quilting. I had a bit of a time constraint. I needed to get it done before the retirement ceremony.

I will say, he did fabulous work. I am very pleased by how this quilt turned out.

Working on it.... slowly. :)

I just got my blocks back from a quilt swap, looks like I have another quilt to make.

I also have some hand quilting on a table runner, but right now the pool is taking priority over quilting. I love summer!!!!
