Finally Finished!
2 Attachment(s)
Have been working on these for a long time. First one is based on Eleanor Burn's Drunkard's path. I saw a picture, and just kept expanding it. Second one is my Chicken with a few Roosters piece. This one just kept growing also. Both do lay flat...they are just long. My son is 6'6", and he was holding them up for me.

Oh my, you did a wonderful job on those quilts. i love birds in quilts but especially love the DP one.
Cute quilts! Good job!
Love love love the chickens
The first one is stunning but the Chicken one is Wonderful and make me think I know what to do for my friend who ended up with her grand daughters Chickens from 4H at her house!! Great job on both!
Great and creative quilts!
How fun are these quilts? Love the chickens too. We had a swap here on the board of chickens. It was so fun to see them all.
Fantastic job on both! Love the colors on your drunkards path.
Both of them are great! Great job!
The Drunkards Path is gorgeous! But the chicken quilt is gorgeouser!! LOL I have over 50 chickens so maybe that is the reason the chicken quilt is the winner for me. Thanks for sharing your lovely quilts with us.
Love the little rooster in the bottom left-hand corner. I'd love a whole quilt filled with those guys all in different colors!
Fabulous finishes…both look like fun challenges in their own ways. I have not experimented with curve piecing much but your DP looks awesome and like many, love love the chickens. Great job.
Those are wonderful! I love the drunken path!
Great finishes!
The fabrics you used in the DP are gorgeous and it goes well with your couch LOL I could look at your chicken quilt for hours.
You really collected a big variety which makes it even more appealing in my eye. I love the bottom right and your "feather" border was perfect! |
Both of your quilts are amazing. Well done!
I love the chicken quilt. I had chickens until recently when a weasel or mink got in and killed four of them. I gave the two I had left to a friend who has chickens. Your quilt is very creative.
Wonderful quilts.

They are both wonderful! I've never seen a DP that way and I love it.
I'm also a sucker for FQ's!! |
A lot, a lot of work you put into these. Great finish!!!
I love doing things with the Drunkard's Path. I have made several different variations of it myself and a King Size one is on my bed right now. Yours is gorgeous! And the Rooster and chickens with the turkey is darling. You did a great job on both of them.
Very creative. You evidently put a lot of work into both of these quilts and it shows. Congratulations. I plan on making a fox in the hen house for my grandson who built an elaborate chicken house. It has a fan and everything works remotely from his cell phone. He's tall also, like your son. You are blessed that he will stand still to hold up your quilts so you can take pictures.
they're both fantastic! I love the way you played with the drunkard's path in the first one. Good job!
