I posted previously in Dec 09 about a quilt my wife and I started with my son. The pattern is a pattern called Midnight Sun by Jinny Beyer and was shown as a wall hanging. My son picked it to make a king size quilt. It has a total of 16 fabrics and the pattern actually makes two quilt tops without the borders. The colors are inverted. Well, 1 1/2 years after finishing the first we have the second done. It's definitely not perfect, but my son loves his and we love ours even if they were the "quilt from Hell". We call it Midnight Madness because of the late nights we spent on it. Hope you enjoy them.

Impressive!

Sorry they were 'quilts from hell'.

That's the challenge of quilting and what makes it fun when it's all done. As self taught quilters we learn from each one and get great tips from people on the board. Like when doing strip sets, alternate the direction of sewing to keep it from going into an arc. That would have been nice before the quilt was cut and sewn.

Thanks for the comments.

Fantastic quilts!! I always feel a real connection to a particularly difficult quilt-especially once it is done-even if I spend a great deal of the time cursing it along the construction path! It shows it YOU PREVAILED AND WON!! Just another way to look at it!

Wow, what beautiful stiking quilts. Great job. I've never seen this pattern before and think the way it turned out with your fabric selection is incredible. What a neat family project.
