Here's my latest completed quilt--called "Cracker" from a Leisure Arts book. I changed the borders to make it a little bigger. I had to deal with lots of bias edges, and I've learned to be much more careful handling them and pressing them.

I made a scrappy quilt with this same pattern for my daughter when she went to college in 2000. She has a double bed but wanted the quilt to hang to the floor like a beadspread, so it turned out huge. It was like working on a circus tent. But she has loved it and used it all along. One funny thing about it, I ran out of my last border fabric, couldn't find more anywhere in central Texas, so pulled all the tiny one inch scraps out of the trash and pieced them together to get enough to finish it.
