I made a puff quilt out of the polyester knits when the GK were babies. It got used a lot on the floor, in the yard, whereever we needed some padding for them to lay on. After 4 used it, it still looks like new. One good thing about that old poly!!

I love it. the colors are great. My daughter made some taggie blankets out of fleece this weekend. First time I saw that style. Yours is great.

That is so cute! I hadn't thought about making puff quilts for the upcoming family additions. Thanks for the link.

That is really nice! I love the feeling of "weight" in my quilts & this would be perfect! Of course I loved the feeling of weight when we lived in the midwest or upstate NY more than I love it here!

Clearly I'm missing something here. Can someone, anyone, fill me in?

My babies loved playing with them. Interesting textures to feel/chew on. I always supervised play so we didn't have any issues with ribbons around fingers (and mine are sewn down 3x in the process to prevent one coming loose for choking). When they were too old for such a babyish toy they became little dolly blankets. Playsilks were another favorite :)
