Finished 2 quilts and buffet runner.

I just finished 2 more quilts and a reversible buffet runner. The Christmas quilt w/the crazy quilt fabric (I've had it for 10+ years) is for my living room. The pattern is from Eleanor Burns' book "Quilting through the Seasons - Pink Lemonade". It was quilted w/Holly Ribbon pantograph using Sulky's Vintage Christmas variegated thread. The Irish themed quilt is for my MIL, who has Alzheimers. A picture of the fabric was posted here and the gal wanted suggestions on what to make w/it. I loved the fabric and loved the suggestions. The pattern is "Warm Wishes", quilted w/Luck of the Irish pantograph using Signature variegated thread. The buffet runner is also for my MIL, Eleanor Burns pattern "A Star for All Seasons", quilted w/Signature variegated thread (top and bobbin). It matches a signature quilt wallhanging that I did for her 80th birthday. I always use "Soft & Bright" batting. |
great job, love them. I can't wait to make something for meeeeeeeeeee, lol
Lovely work. I like your house too. :-)
I love your quilts, they are really beautiful. I made the Pink Lemonade quilt also in a twin size. Not as nice as yours as I did not realize the blocks are 18", way too big for a twin and as long as a King quilt. I wanted the smaller blocks like you have. I would never have thought to make it with Christmas colors, but yours is outstanding. Thanks.
Those are beautiful.
Wow!!! They are really pretty!!!
all very gorgeous and the quilting is beautiful too
Wow! Someone has been super busy! Love them all. The Warm Wishes quilt pattern is one of my favorites. Works up so fast and is such a neat looking quilt.
All are very nice.

They're all winners - I couldn't help but notice the back of the dressmaker's dummy in the window - is that a vintage dress?
No, it's not. That's a semi formal dress that I bought a few years ago. The dressmaker's dummy is though. My house has a Victorian theme and I wanted to showcase a vintage looking dress that I had. She loaned me "Esmeralda" at that time. Several years later, she gave her to me. Now Esmeralda stands beside my Standard treadle machine in the living room sporting a different dress each season.
Love the quilts and runners, but that mankin dressed standing by the window is a jewel, love it. I have a dress from long ago and size of my youth would look great displayed that way instead of hiding in the back of my closet. good idea.. thanks for sharing
The dressmaker's dummy is though. She loaned me "Esmeralda" at that time. The she was my aunt who also named the dressmaker's dummy. She's passed away now, so when I look at it, I think of her.
Tell us about the "model" in the front window please.

Now Esmeralda stands beside my Standard treadle machine in the living room sporting a different dress each season. I have no idea on how old she is. I've looked for any info that would help date her. |
Fabulous. Love all of them.

Lovely quilts and I really like your quilting.
