Finished and almost finished
3 Attachment(s)
My younger son got married on May 1st, no actual ceramony just a couple of friends and minister in the park. On Father's Day we will be going to their new home in Bellingham to celebrate. Since his older brother and wife got a quilt for their wedding and handmade teddy bears the race was on to get them completed. I just finished the quilt and am almost done with the teddy bears (will post pictures when done). The quilt is from a kit I bought on Craftsy, it's called the Ice Cream Quilt - designed by Bobbi Penniman using Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and had to buy it and then the wedding happened and it seemed perfect for newlyweds.
The second quilt top is for older son's wife-she brought me the fabric from their trip to Hawaii in February. I decided to make a lap quilt for her birthday so working to get it completed by end of July, just need to quilt and bind. I did keep enough of the fabric to make a table topper for myself. |

You've done a wonderful job with these bright colors going with the patterns. Yummy! I am working on a quilt with Kaffe Fassett fabrics and don't like it, but love, love yours! Those DILs have a gem for a MIL. Hope they appreciate you big time.

Wonderful cheerful fabric and it ties in so well with the fact they got married in the park! Good job.

I've seen that kit on Craftsy and have always thought it was pretty, but it's so nice to see one made by an actual person (!) - it looks great!

Good work. I particularly like the expanded pinwheels

It's so GREAT to see Hawaiian fabrics used! Living and selling fabric here, rarely do we see the finished projects, tho' from time to time someone will email a photo. Others will say "love the fabric but it doesn't work on the mainland".... well you showed us how attractive and colorful a well-designed pattern enhances the fabrics! Mahalo for posting this...
