Finished another one!

This is a twin size quilt from a Connecting Threads kit. I love kits because the colors always go together! It was advertised as a twin, but ended up way bigger- I cut out a row and a column (omg, so much wasted effort piecing all that!) and it still pretty much filled a full size batt. Since it is a companion to another green/blue twin quilt, I hope my Mom doesn't mind that the sizes are different.

Because I trimmed it there is one lonely little green square in the bottom corner, and that kind of bothers me, but overall, I love this quilt so much. It is my favorite one I've ever made.

Well, I see several green squares and it is all beautiful. Looks to be made the way you wanted it. Very, Very pretty. Not one problem I see.

I like that little green maverick! I agree with you, it would a favorite of mine too. I love the color combo and the way you've shaded it from light to dark.

That last little corner completes the progress of the design! Nice work.

To me, the way the colors are layed out in this quilt, the green square at the bottom looks like it was supposed to be there all along. Enjoy, it is lovely!

Very pretty quilt. I love the colors, and the one green in the lower corner looks just fine. Great work. I've never used a kit, I guess because I like to choose my own colors and fabric.

Exactly! That little maverick or God's eye just makes this beautiful quilt! I love stuff from CT, too (right this minute I'm fighting a HUGE desire to order some of their new Mirage fabrics -- yum!!!). Thank you for sharing this awesome quilt with us... love it!

Really pretty!!!!

Love your quilt and enjoy seeing the kits from CT. Your quilt is so much prettier than the pictures we see. I wouldn't have noticed the 'green' square.

Great job...

It's pretty! Maybe put an applique on that lonely little square to make it really pop, but I think it looks just fine as it is. Good job.

(you could embroider a heart on it!!) :)

Shankquilt 06-28-2012 09:31 AM

That is so beautiful. Did you buy that kit a long time ago or would Connecting Threads still carry it? Thanks for sharing.

Rebecca VLQ 06-28-2012 09:42 AM

Looks great just the way it is! :D

rebeljane 06-29-2012 01:12 AM

I cannot see anything wrong with what you have made. Don't be so hard on yourself, it looks great & don't let that one square bother you as it looks like it is meant to be there. Hand made things can never be perfect, that is the beauty of them - they are unique!
