I just made squares I liked and drew out bear faces and machine appliqued them on. It is really fun to do because you know your quilt will be different from what anyone else will do. The bears here are much cuter than the ones I did. |
Can't offer setting advice, but want to comment on what a super job you have done so far. It is beautiful.

I like it with the sashing and I like the butterscotch looking one. The middle one when you asked about other sashing colors.

Love the attic windows. Otherwise, love the gold color for sashing!!

I like the brown for sashing. What adorable blocks. Can't wait to see the finished product.

First choice is brown (for bears) and my second is blue. Definitely like the sashing.

It is going to be a fabulous quilt any way you go! Love the quilt. It will be great what ever way you do it. |
Sashing would look awesome in either the blue or the white print for contrast. You might experiment laying the yellows diagonally, since you have more of those. Just so cute. I love the bows.

The brown sashing is nice, even thought I love blue. I would place them boy/girl/boy. To put them rows of boys/rows of girls would make the quilt look stripey. As for the setting of the individual bears in each row - my rule is to lay out the squares, look, then squint. The squinting helps me see if one color is too much in one place or too much pop in one area - then I move them until everything seems balanced. How's that :)
