Such a great thing to think of the children when making something this table runner. They'll definitely have a lot of GOOD memories of this! Adorable!!

That is so very cute. You have put a lot of work into it & it's a real keeper.
I see you use hair clips for holding your binding, too. I love using them.

Thanks Pat for the compliment. I love the quilt in your avatar.

Yes I like using the hair clips too. They are a lot cheaper then the quilting clips they sell now and are really do the same exact thing.

Thanks all for the compliments and the time you took to write your thoughts.

Penny, the quilt in my avatar is one I made just for myself. Awhile back the question came up if we ever make a quilt for ourselves. This is mine.

Pat, the quilt looks like a beauty. Did you ever post a picture of it on the board? I would love to see it up close.

Penny, here are a few pix of my quilt showing the paperpieced border. Then a cpl. of the medallions using the Stack & Whack method using 12 repeats.
I'm having trouble getting them to send so I'll try again.

Paper pieced border (my own idea)

The round centers are stuffed with batting making them poofy.

Thanks, Penny. I loved the basic fabric, too. I always like to use the original fabric as a wide border to show what the medallions came from. People find it hard to believe the "flowers" all came from the same fabric.

This is just sooooooooo cute! I love, love love it! My Mom grew up in Watertown - now that's upstate NY. Oh the snow they would get. She turned 89 today.

My Great-Gram was from Watertown but she passed a few years back. A few of her kids still live up that way, closer to Dexter. The snow they get is almost nothing to the ice. Here in Pulaski we usually just get the snow but Watertown gets the worst of both worlds.

Hi Pat...I am wondering what ruler you used to make the 12 Stack & Whack sections. I love your quilt, it is lovely and the medallions are gorgeous. Thanks, Carol

Lisa although my sister does get an occasional ice storm it is rare. The ice problems they usually have is from rain that freezes when it is close to dark. She gets mostly snow.

Carol, it does use a particular template but I don't know if they are sold widely. I had to buy mine from the person who taught the pattern. Her husb. had made them for her to sell. You might find it from a Stack & Whack book in a quilt shop.

Lol, well most of the ice complaints I've heard came from my Great Gram and her friends so I'm sure that every little sign of ice was enough to complain. I try not to go up there in the snow. I just keep to local driving during the winter, lol.

Love it. I could use one myself. ; )
