I started this a couple of months ago and finally finished last night. I backed, batted, quilted and finished it all last night. I machine quilted, which isn't pretty at all, but I didn't have the time to hand quilt, and my machine is not set up to quilt. I figured since it goes under the tree and will have presents over it that it was more important to just get it done than to have it be perfect, which it certainly is NOT anyway. I am very much an amateur.

Looks great! If you get ambitious, you can always add more quilting later. What's the name of that pattern? I think that will be my theme for next year's gifts. Tree Skirts s & Stockings. I'm hoping I can find some good markdowns on Christmas fabric next week. :)

It is a perfect pattern and shape for your tree, and especially where you placed your tree.

Thanks so much ladies for your kind words. The pattern is "Stars All Around" - it was a free online pattern that I downloaded and printed out - very easy instructions.

Thank you for the pattern name...I've heard of it, but can't remember the website. Could you fill us in? Thank you!

I love the tree skirt. That is one thing I have never made. I think I might have to make one for next year. That is if I can fit it in with all the other things I have on my want to do list.
