It's gorgeous! You carried on the varigated feeling of the embroidery with your binding. And you hand quilted it! I love it.

Sew cute! I've never heard of a Disappearing 16 patch.

Great little quilt! I have to ask....... in the center square.... was that one thread or did you change colors over and over and over again? Fascinating center block and the rest is beautiful as well. I always love seeing others hand quilting. To me - that's a lot of what it's all about. Like the Hokey-Pokey. :)

very nice work thanks for showing

Pretty quilt!

Very pretty and especially like the scrappy binding.

This is just darling--crisp is a great description. I had to google DP16. Here's a link I found, I'm sure there's more.

Very nice, I have done the Disappearing 16 patch, quite fun. Your hand quilting is exquisite !!! Your hand quilting made me think of a stitch that my machine does. You use an invisible thread on top and tighten the top tension, and it pulls the bobbin thread to the top and it looks like hand quilting.....kind of looks like the stitch that the Sashiko machine does. Except the Sashiko machine only does one stitch ($2,500 for a machine that only does one stitch, a little too rich for me) The Sashiko only has a top thread, no bobbin. We've had a couple of these machines in our shop, boy are they touchy.... but they do a beautiful job of hand quilting..... Thanks for posting....
