This is lovely, sandybeach, but just tell me, did you cut out each fucia flower one by one and appliqued it on the smaller blocks? That should have take forever!!

Thanks everyone. Yes, the material is called Fucshia by Maywood Studio. After they came out with this color-way, the came out with a toned-down version, which would look just as nice. The flowers are printed on the material. It is a border fabric (full version in the borders of the quilt). So, probably any border fabric would work. You waste a LOT of fabric as you have to cut each square separately following the line of the border. Then, just use a design wall, as it is very easy to turn a block the wrong way, and fill the open blocks with the matching tone on tone fabric.
I do love the job the LAQ did. Even though it took 2.5 months to get it back. |
