wow! quick work! i'm doing the same thing for a friend that i've learned is now in the nursing home. i found a block-of-the-month piece that was almost complete. today i'll add the borders, quilt it over the holidays and get it to her in January ( i'm not as quick as you, though!).
|
Thanks all! Well, I had to hurry with this so I could get back to my holiday projects! LOL But I just couldn't turn her down....it is for a woman who just lost her baby so that pulled on my heart strings...such a sad thing!
I'm STILL working on my DGD's quilt! putting the final borders on it today! Should be up in the frames by tomorrow! I'm SO excited...it is turning out just like I hoped it would!!! I think I can, I think I can! |

WOW! How did you do that?
See, it is folks like yourself who totally intimidate we beginners like myself! I COULD NEVER DO THAT! Let alone that fast!!!!! Lovely! Thanks for sharing! |
I could not do it as fast as you did.. Your colors are excellent and I think it is a gorgeous pattern..
|
I've heard the pattern called both "Buzzsaw" and "Aunt Betty's Attic".....
http://quilterscache.com/B/BuzzsawBlock.html Buzzsaw http://mccallsquilting.com/golden/mg29_pattern/ Free Quilt Pattern - Aunt Betty's Attic As you can see the Buzzsaw uses 3 strips and the ABA uses 5 (which is what I did) |

Country Quilter, what is a DGD quilt? You wrote "I'm STILL working on my DGD's quilt! " I'm still new at this quilting board and still unfamiliar with the terms.
|
I'm definately no expert Rainbow but I think dgd means dear grand daughter!!
