I have now completed this quilt. The fabric is from Da Gama Textiles. They have such vibrant color ways available. Just love it. This is a quilt for Matthew for later in life and will be kept till then. Just love doing big stitch quilting and have found this to be my favorite technique.

Very nice! Would you show a close up of the edge? I can't tell what the borders are. It kind of looks like an arrow, but I could be totally wrong.

Plee1053: Here's what I copied from the internet: "Big stitch quilting, sometimes referred to as Utility Quilting, is a method of hand quilting that uses longer stitch lengths (1/4”) and thicker threads – most commonly #8 perle cotton. The stitching shows more prominently on the quilt than machine stitching and adds an extra layer of design to the finished quilt."

Really like this looks like two fabric quilt. The colors are great together and reminds me of my mil and relatives quilts. The simplicity of the pattern along with the 2 fabrics really sets the quilt apart. I too like the big stitch quilting technique. Thanks so much for sharing.

The two fabric quilt is stunning and includes my favorite colors. Your stitching is perfect. What a lovely heirloom to give to one of your grandsons when he can appreciate it.

I am so sorry but have not idea what the block would be. It all went wrong when I cut it and just had to use it as the small print fabric was finished. So the border was a huge surprise to me!

Yes he is one of my 4 grandsons!He chose the color himself.
