Finished Miniature project
1 Attachment(s)
just finished this month's guild project ... idea was to prove we could sew a mini without PP. Mine turned out to be a little larger than it was supposed. My log cabins finished at 2 1/8 instead of 2. But overall, if I don't look too close, I am pleased with it.

Hi DeneK, I liked visiting your blog. I loved meeting your furr babies! I have 3 of my own at home and would dearly love to add a 2-3 year old female to my pack. But, dear husband says no. :( My youngest needs a playmate. lol :D
Very nice. I love the color. And, I'm not looking close. I think it looks fabulous! |
Beautiful! Love the colours!

Is there a specific pattern for it or did you wing it?
I think you did a great job.
beautiful. I admire you for making a mini so small. congrats on the finish.
Wonderfully one!
What off an 1/8th of an inch......:D....who would have known had you not told us. Isn't it amazing what one can do when one sets her mind to it? When I did my first piece to see if I could it was not as accurate as yours is, but I proved that I could do it and now it's becoming second nature...Are you ready to do another?
Love the colors, too, and that you didn't paper piece. As you found out it can be done. I'm always trying to figure out how to quilt this size without detracting from the intricate piecework.. |
Love the neutrals with the reds. What a nice job!
Beautiful, you did a great job
Wow! I'm impressed.
Looks good to me. Love the colors.

I do like working with smaller pieces. Even when I am doing a large quilt, I usually work with smaller blocks. I keep telling people that it is easier to sew straight for 2" than 8". Really I can't seem to acquire accuracy -- either cutting or stitching. I like to work with blocks that can be sized down for better accuracy. My goal is just to improve over time (and I think that I do). Second nature it ain't... At least not yet. :) |
That is so pretty. I can imagine an entire quilt like that.
Nice color and placement of the logs! Great job!

You did a beautiful job, nice quilt, love the colors and the contrast.

I moved back from my monitor so I wouldn't look too closely ... seriously, it looks fantastic no matter how close I get to it!
Looks good. Overall, I prefer to PP little stuff, however.
Beautiful rich colours. Nicely done.

Nice work on your mini! :)

So pretty! Love the red & cream with the log cabin
sweet mineature.

Your colors are Great, but you should have gone ahead and added another couple of borders and made it a lap quilt, You would have gotten more enjoyment from it that way. Loved the colors and block arrangements. I guess I have a thing for lap quilts. Sorry but I see everything turning into one.
