This quilt came pretty close to being a disaster, but I think it turned out OK in the end.
I had a ton of problems from getting the seams wrong to fusible batting that didn't fuse ... but it's all a learning experience right? :-) It still passes the "back of a galloping horse" test anyway. |

The border fabric was a bit wide for this quilt (it's lap-sized) so I ended up trimming down the border and using the dark red and black stripes for the sashing. |

Thanks! Here it is hung up so you can see the whole thing (it's hanging at kind of a funky angle but you get the idea). And almost all of this fabric came from fabric.com (the line is actually on sale right now).
