I did the quilting by hand. With red thread, I quilted a heart onto each nine-patch. With white thread, I outlined each white triangle. And I added red piping along with the binding. Thank you, everyone! Bummer!! I liked this quilt also and finally found a pattern to purchase.... Somehow I missed that free one. I thought that it might be a great way to use up some controlled scraps... |
Your quilt is terrific, and I love your binding idea. I've been thinking about the finish for one of mine that is very similar in feel to this quilt, and I think some variation of your idea will work! Thanks for the sharing and inspiration!
